Score Clicker

A few people have sent emails saying that they find the scoreboard on this site to be a useful classroom tool.

So, I have added a similar resource which people may also find helpful. It is a ’score clicker’ and could be useful, for example, for keeping track of the scores in a quiz between two teams.

As ever, comments and feedback appreciated,

David

I like this idea but I would not mind if you did it in the “50, 100, and 500″ so that I can use it with a Jeopardy game that I have.

Thanks Karen – I am pleased that you like the score clicker.

Updating the resource as you suggest would require quite a bit of work – as it stands, two clicks of the ‘500′ button and you would run out of digits!

I could perhaps make a 5, 10 and 50 version for you?

I’ve recently had a few requests to create a ‘Jeopardy’ style game – so a new resource could well be coming to the site soon. I’m very busy at the moment, but will try to set aside some time to create a few new resources.

Hope this helps, David

Great website and resources!!! I love this new version of the clickers, it is more eye-catching than the original one. One thing that would be useful is if we had the option of selecting the number of “groups” or clickers. Maybe even up to 10??? I play group games in my classroom where I usually have 10 groups to increase student participation. Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks Janet – I am really pleased that you like the site and the resources.

I will try to make some time to update the ’score clicker’ – I am really busy at the moment but will see what I can do.

In the short term, the resource will ’scale’ if you reduce the size of the window it is displayed in. So, you could have the resource open simultaneously in several smaller windows across your desktop. It’s not a perfect solution I accept, but it might be helpful? For ten teams, you would need to open and resize five different windows.

Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback and comments – much appreciated, David.

What a great resource, excellent for team games, was wondering if maybe future developments could include a minus function, so you could deduct points for the wrong answer.

That is a good idea – I will see what I can do,

Reset for this would be good too

I agree – at the moment, you can reset the scores by refreshing the web page in your browser…

Not a perfect solution, but it should do the job,
