Seating Plan Creator

Still a ‘Work in Progress’ – more to follow soon… David.

This looks very interesting, especially when names can be mixed up randomly.
Some ideas:
Alt-Drag to copy, so you don’t have to rotate each desk again.
Smaller icons (we have up to 36 students in a class here).
Separate names and coordinates in save file. That way you can use the same classroom again and just change the (comma separated) names of the new students.
Extra Mode where you can drag names but leave the desks on their places.

This could really be helpful! I suggest a feature where you identify students who should not be placed near each other; then, you just press a button and your seating chart is randomized with the specific rules of who shouldn’t be next to whom in mind.

I think if the background was white, it’d be easier to see the grid. Plus, it wouldn’t waste as much ink if you wanted to print the picture. I can’t wait to use this!

Fantastic idea… similar to what I do in a spreadsheet at present.
It would be great if there was a way to import names into it, as well as comments (SEN. G&T etc)

May I also suggest –
Rotate each way option
Add Teacher Desk option

Thanks Classicaus – good ideas…

The resource is still very much a ‘work in progress’, but I will try to set aside some time to work on it further,

David
