I’ve created a new version of the Word Magnet resource.

The new resource is now available for download and has lots of new features: save and load activities, more customisation features, upload images and so on.

The resource has its own website which can be accessed HERE.

Unlike all of the other resources on this site, this resource is being made available for institutions to purchase with a site license. This means that the resource can be installed on an unlimited number of the institution’s computers on one campus and will hopefully make the resource more accessible to a wider range of teachers. Money raised will ensure that the resources on this site can remain both free of adverts and free to use. It will also enable me to spend more time creating new resources for the site.

A resource for randomly selecting a student from a class list.

I would particularly appreciate feedback about the new method of creating and saving class lists. When you have created a class list, you can save it to your computer (ready to be loaded quickly when you wish to use the selector). You could save lots of different class lists to a folder and load the relevant one when required.

If this method is a success, I will try to update many of the other resources in the same way.

When you load a class list, you will be given the option of removing any absent students before making your random selections.

Following a request via email from a teacher in the USA, I’ve added a new resource to the library.

This selector allows teachers to input up to 32 names and will make a random selection at the push of a button.

To add a little tension, the selector will choose five names – then four – then three… until only one name remains.

It’s another simple Interactive White Board tool and hopefully one which will be of use to teachers.
